Senior Java / Python Engineer

A high-performing global team is looking for an experienced Java / Python Engineer to help build and enhance critical backend platforms supporting complex risk, trading and data workflows. This is a hands-on role focused on scalable engineering, distributed systems, large datasets and delivering robust solutions within a fast-paced financial environment.

Responsibilities

Building and enhancing Java and Python-based backend services and risk data pipelines; Working with complex risk and trading datasets to support analytics, reporting and downstream processing; Developing APIs, automation tools and scalable distributed applications; Collaborating with technical and business stakeholders across risk, front-office and engineering teams

Requirements

Strong commercial experience with Java and/or Python within enterprise environments; Experience building backend services, APIs or distributed systems using technologies such as Spring Boot, FastAPI, Flask or Django; Strong SQL and data processing skills, with exposure to large-scale data environments; Previous experience working with risk platforms, risk data, trading, PnL or capital markets technology

Experience with messaging technologies, cloud platforms, microservices or investment banking environments
