Senior Occupational Therapist

Brainkind Stagenhoe has an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join their dedicated team of healthcare professionals working in a beautiful historical building providing care and slow stream rehabilitation to people with neurological conditions. You will provide an occupational therapy service by assessing, implementing and evaluating programmes of person-centred care as part of the multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Provide occupational therapy service by assessing, implementing and evaluating programmes of person-centred care as part of the multi-disciplinary team; Develop treatment and support plans that enhance function and quality of life; Develop a therapeutic group programme to meet the needs of a wide range of people; Lead a small team of therapy assistants and activities co-ordinators; Work with people with a wide range of neurological conditions; Develop skills and understanding of equipment provision and seating; Commit to continuing professional development and regular supervision; Participate in peer support from wider organisation encompassing other OTs and AHP professionals

Requirements

Diploma / Degree in Occupational Therapy; Current and valid Registration with Health & Care Professions Council; Evidence of Continued Professional Development; An ability to work autonomously and to set own and support others' priorities; Ability to build effective team working relationships and excellent leadership skills

Nice to have

Desirable experience of working in a relevant setting, which can include practice placements
