Senior Product Manager – Universal KYC (MetaMask Passport)

Money is moving onto the internet, and the shift has a name: Open Money. MetaMask is building a future where users can unlock the full product stack through a single, seamless identity experience. Universal KYC (UKYC) is a new initiative to create a single, reusable identity layer across MetaMask, with MetaMask Passport at its centre, designed to enable users to verify once and unlock multiple experiences across the MetaMask ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of platform and product experience. Please note that applications from candidates based in France, Italy, or Germany cannot be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

Own the vision and roadmap for Universal KYC and MetaMask Passport; Define how a reusable identity layer unlocks the broader MetaMask product stack; Build the underlying identity platform, creating scalable verification primitives and standards that can be adopted across products; Design a seamless, low-friction KYC experience that reduces time-to-first-transaction while maintaining compliance integrity; Drive adoption across MetaMask by partnering closely with internal teams to integrate a consistent identity layer; Balance privacy, trust, and global regulatory requirements; Lead execution end-to-end, aligning cross-functional teams and delivering measurable outcomes

Requirements

Proven experience building or scaling identity verification (IDV), KYC, or onboarding products; Strong background in fintech, ideally with exposure to Web3; Hands-on experience working with identity verification providers (IDV vendors) such as Sumsub, Veriff, Onfido, Persona, or Stripe Identity; Familiarity with compliance workflows, including KYC, KYB, and customer due diligence (CDD) processes; Track record of delivering platform products adopted across multiple teams; Ability to operate across both technical systems and user experience
