Senior Software Engineer | Identity and Access Management | Full-Stack

You will join the Identity and Access Management team, owning DeepL's full identity stack: organisation, account and session management, SSO federation, SCIM provisioning, and the OIDC provider, for both internal and external users. We are shifting gears from 'Software-First' to 'Product-First.' You will contribute across the stack, shipping features that create delightful, frictionless experiences for both external developers and internal engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Own the Identity Experience End-to-End: architect and build complex user-facing features across the identity stack; Build for 'Consumer-Grade' Enterprise: build for reliability and maintainability, lead incident response; Collaborate to Raise the Bar: work closely with teammates across Identity and adjacent teams; Drive Technical Pragmatism: choose technology that solves customer problems effectively and ensures long-term maintainability

Requirements

Extreme ownership and operational excellence: own services end-to-end and push reliability toward four nines; System thinker mindset: understand failure modes, system boundaries, and design for high availability; Backend mastery at scale (C# / .NET): deep expertise designing scalable backend systems and distributed architectures; Enterprise domain curiosity: interest in B2B SaaS Identity authentication (SSO/OIDC), authorization, security and auditing; AI-native velocity: leverage AI-powered tools (GitHub Copilot or Claude) for boilerplate code, test generation, debugging
