Senior Transportation Engineer

Job Location: Bismarck, ND

As an experienced Transportation Engineer with Houston Engineering, Inc, you will manage a variety of transportation projects from design through construction. Responsibilities

Grow and expand transportation services and clients in the state.; Effectively lead and manage activities and people on specific projects.; Assure that designs are in accordance with federal, city and DOT specifications.; Prepare or oversee detailed engineering analyses, schedules, technical reports, etc.; Interface with CAD designers, other engineers and subcontractors.; Create and foster a project team culture of superior service for the customer.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related Engineering field.; Professional Engineer license in the applicable state you work or the ability to obtain license within 6 months.; 8+ years of experience in the design and construction of state DOT and county highway projects preferred.; Excellent leadership and project management skills.; Working knowledge of project team roles and responsibilities.; Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local codes.; Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with groups both internally and externally.
