Shift Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and complete all required paperwork; Respond to reactive and emergency breakdowns, ensuring accurate documentation; Assist other team members as directed by the Supervisor or Contract Manager; Ensure all tasks are completed within contractual time scales; Proactively support energy-reduction initiatives on site; Supervise visiting sub-contractors, ensuring high standards and Health & Safety compliance; Adopt a flexible attitude to support additional properties when required; Complete all documentation accurately and on time; Work safely, diligently, and in line with company policies and procedures; Participate fully in training and appraisal activities; Undertake additional duties in line with capability as required

Requirements

City & Guilds Level II/III (or equivalent) in relevant mechanical disciplines; Experience in maintenance, testing, and fault-finding on a range of equipment including boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, batteries, and lighting systems; Strong understanding of Health & Safety and safe working practices; Proactive approach with strong customer-care focus; Good communication skills; Ability to diagnose, anticipate, and repair faults; Capable of completing essential paperwork accurately and promptly
