Skilled Operative

Multi-skilled labourer / general operative role supporting rail asset management and civil engineering projects across Inverness and the surrounding region, working within a busy and safety-critical rail environment. Based from the Inverness depot with AmcoGiffen's Scotland Business Unit.

Responsibilities

Carrying out assigned duties safely and efficiently; Working in accordance with approved Risk Assessments and Method Statements; Using safe systems of work and industry best practice at all times; Carrying out checks on tools and equipment prior to use; Maintaining a safe, clean and tidy working environment; Ensuring works are delivered to programme; Signing onto permits, task briefings and site documentation before commencing work; Communicating effectively with Site Supervisors and Management; Reporting hazards, near misses and safety concerns; Attending all site briefings and workforce forums; Undertaking additional tasks as reasonably instructed by line management

Requirements

Previous experience as a General Operative or Multi-Skilled Labourer within the rail industry; PTS; CSCS; Proven rail experience
