Software Engineer | Identity & Access Management | Full-Stack

Full-time Hybrid work

Publication date: 01/09/2026

DeepL is building the Operating System for Global Communication. You will join the Identity and Access Management team, owning DeepL's full identity stack: organisation, group, account, consent and session management, SSO federation, SCIM provisioning, and the OIDC provider, for both internal and external users. We are shifting gears from 'Software-First' to 'Product-First.' We hire missionaries—builders who obsess over the Why before the How.

Responsibilities

Ship Features, Not Just Code: own the implementation of end-to-end features; ensure your code solves the actual user problem, works in production, and is covered by robust tests; Collaborate to Raise the Bar: work closely with teammates across Identity and adjacent teams; participate in code reviews, design discussions, and contribute to shared standards; Leverage Modern Tooling: use AI-assisted tools like Copilot and Claude to handle boilerplate and refactoring; Build for Quality: write well-tested, production-ready code; participate in incident response, learn from postmortems, and help the team raise the bar on code quality and operational health

Requirements

Ownership and Reliability: You take responsibility for what you ship; write tests, monitor your code in production, and follow through when things go wrong; Strong Engineering Fundamentals: solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and clean coding principles; Adaptability: good foundation in backend development and server-side systems; our stack relies on C#/.NET Core, Cassandra, gRPC, and Kubernetes; willing to jump in and learn whatever tool gets the job done; Enterprise Domain Curiosity: interested in B2B SaaS Identity - authentication (SSO/OIDC), authorization, and requirements such as security and auditing; AI-Native Velocity: leverage AI-powered tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude to accelerate velocity and eliminate repetitive toil

Benefits

Diverse and internationally distributed team; Open communication, regular feedback; Hybrid work, flexible hours; Virtual Shares - an ownership mindset in every role; Regular in-person team events; Monthly full-day hacking sessions (Hack Fridays); 30 days of annual leave; Competitive benefits
