Spring 2027 - Intern, Properties (New York)

Excel Sports Management is an industry-leading sports agency representing top-tier talent, blue-chip brands and marquee properties. The Spring 2027 Intern program is a paid, hybrid opportunity running from January 11, 2027 through May 6, 2027. Interns work 24-29.9 hours per week, with approximately 3 days per week in the New York office, and are responsible for their own transportation and housing. Interns work with the Properties division and may learn about other areas of Excel through lunch and learns. Office hours are 9:00 am-6:00 PM ET, Monday-Friday, or as agreed with the advisor.

Responsibilities

Assist the Properties team in drafting company briefs for calls/meetings with decision makers; Prospect potential leads across the full Properties client portfolio; Read daily trade news and sports outlets and compile relevant articles for team review; Learn how to identify decision-makers and contact information at targeted companies; Gain exposure to the commercial strategy of representing a property and completing the sales process for marquee sponsorship assets; Analyze sports industry trades to generate sales leads and highlight emerging trends in sports sponsorship; Develop outreach hooks to get the attention of decision-makers; Collaborate with property sales reps, creative services, and research/insights partners to develop sales collateral; Strategize ideas and platforms and create compelling narratives in sales materials; Review reports, proposals, and other documents to ensure sales materials are ready for the pitching stage; May occasionally be assigned projects outside the Properties group

Requirements

Be available to work under 30 hours per week; Be available to report to the New York Office approximately 3 days a week; Have senior standing in college (completed junior year of undergrad) or be enrolled in graduate school or have a bachelor's or postgraduate degree
