SPVR ENVIRONMENTAL SERV EVENING

The Supervisor Environmental Services Evening is responsible for overseeing the daily cleaning operations of the Environmental Services Department, performed specifically during evening hours (5:00pm - 1:30am). The position trains and develops team members and team leaders to perform at the highest level and attain high quality cleaning standards consistently. The Supervisor must be able to adapt to changes, make operational decisions, and be involved in higher-level decisions affecting the department.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily cleaning operations of the Environmental Services Department during evening hours (5:00pm - 1:30am); Interview, hire, counsel, discipline, and recommend Team Members for promotions; Train and develop team members and team leaders; Manage scheduling, project assignment and compliance, ordering, inventorying, and distribution of supplies and linen; Approve PTO, maintain team member files, and perform evaluations with recommendations for merit increases; Conduct quality assurance inspections and cart inspections; Conduct weekly huddle meetings and give ongoing performance feedback; Respond to customer needs and bring issues to resolution; Ensure adherence to policies, productivity standards, and safety guidelines; Manage daily operations, problem solving, and allocation of staff; Make operational decisions and take part in higher-level department decisions

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED with nine (9) years of experience; Healthcare cleaning experience; Strong leadership skills; Five (5) years of environmental services or housekeeping experience (preferably in a hospital setting); Two (2) years customer service experience; Two (2) years Supervisory or Project lead experience; Valid Driver's License required, must obtain Florida Driver's License within 6 months of employment; Evidence of a good driving record and maintain a good record per Moffitt policy; Alternative: AA/AS degree plus a minimum of seven (7) years' experience as stated above; Alternative: BA/BS degree with five (5) years of environmental service or housekeeping experience (preferably in a hospital setting) and two (2) years of experience as a Supervisor, Lead or Project Lead; Years of experience requirements can be reduced by two (2) years in any category with Moffitt related work experience
