Sr. Systems Engineer

TapHere is looking for a self-starting, team-oriented Sr. Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team in supporting space domain mission applications. The selected candidate serves as the technical authority for the operational thread.

Responsibilities

Serves as the technical authority for the operational thread; Translates CONOPS and capability-level needs into formal, testable, and traceable acceptance criteria; Allocates and maintains the technical baseline for the thread; Ensures interface understanding via ICD analysis; Maintains complete requirements traceability within the RTM; Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems; Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints; Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications

Requirements

Active TS SCI; Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience or graduate degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience; Capable of managing large, complex project initiatives with minimal oversight or direction; Strong communication skills; Shows initiative to provide significant improvements in processes, systems, or products and implement operational plans that have measurable impact on business or functional results
