Sr. Veterinary Academic and Key Relations Manager

Veterinary professionals are the backbone of trust in animal health. We're looking for a resourceful, strategic, and relationship-driven leader to grow two critical areas of our veterinary strategy: our university programs and our network of influential veterinary professionals. You'll deepen our presence across veterinary schools, build relationships with respected voices across the profession, and execute scalable initiatives that advance thoughtful, credible conversations around fresh nutrition. Responsibilities

Execute and scale university initiatives across campuses and digital channels; own and scale Student Ambassador Program; manage and grow residency sponsorship and academic research programs; develop and manage relationships across academic and veterinary community; translate relationships into credibility-building initiatives across speaking, education, content, events, research, advisory work, and media; represent TFD across veterinary schools, conferences, specialty meetings, and industry events; build scalable systems and own quarterly reporting for university and Key Relations initiatives; partner cross-functionally with Veterinary, Conferences, Marketing, Communications, Research, and Field Vet teams; attend virtual and in-person industry events, conferences, universities, practices, and meetings (40-50% travel required)

Requirements

Deep familiarity with the veterinary profession and understanding of how credibility is built across academic, clinical, and industry settings; exceptional relationship builder; strong communicator and public speaker; able to represent The Farmer's Dog confidently across campuses, conferences, industry events, and one-on-one conversations; mission driven; intellectually curious; willing to roll up sleeves; always looking to improve; detail-oriented; proactive; self-starter; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously; love dogs, people, and the veterinary profession; willingness to travel 40-50%

Nice to have

DVM/VMD strongly preferred; exceptional candidates with significant veterinary academic, professional relations, or industry experience considered; experience building or scaling programs
