Sterile Processing and Distribution Manager - Surgical Services - FT - Days MHP

Manages the daily operations of the Sterile Processing and Distribution area.

Responsibilities

Manages the daily operations of the Sterile Processing and Distribution area; Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management; Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, and payroll; Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts and vendor relations; Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies; Assesses the quality of services delivered; Works closely with clinical areas to determine and meet their requirements for medical equipment and supplies; Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization

Requirements

Associates; Must be certified as CSPDT or any other Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) certification listed (CCSVP, CER, CHL, CIS, CRCST, CSPDM, CSPDT, CST); Two (2) years of Sterile Processing with progressive leadership experience; Requires critical thinking skills; Decisive judgment; Ability to work with minimal supervision; Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action; Accountability; Customer Service; Develops Relationships; Effective Communication; Managing Budgets - Management; Managing Business Priorities; Managing People; Responding to Change; Standards of Behavior
