Store Manager in Training

Assist store manager in areas of sales, appearance, and overall operations of store. Objective is to receive hands on training preparing manager in training for a management position in another store or future location.

Responsibilities

Assist store manager in areas of sales, appearance, and overall operations of store; Receive hands-on training preparing manager in training for a management position; Supervise professional and retail operations of store and team members; Supervise work performed by all team members assigned to store/HUB store; Recruit, test, hire, evaluate, promote, discipline and discharge team members; Communicate team weekly and monthly store managers' meeting information to team members; Train new team members; Handle team member performance evaluations and recommend pay increases; Assist in hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates; Support store manager in safety compliance and training; Make sales calls; Support store manager in store operations; Maintain delivery fleet and records for vehicles; Ensure store/HUB store is neat, clean and organized; Learn electronic scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll entry; Manage components of gross profit; Review professional customer returns, competitive price matches, price overrides, team member productivity and KPI dashboard; Review monthly P&L statement and discuss opportunities

Requirements

High School Diploma; Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills; Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program; Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately; Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems

Nice to have

O’Reilly store and/or distribution center experience; Completed O’Reilly management training program; Advanced computer skills; ASE Certification; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
