Store Manager in Training

Assist store manager in areas of sales, appearance, and overall operations of store. Objective is to receive hands on training preparing manager in training for a management position in another store or future location.

Responsibilities

Assist store manager in areas of sales, appearance, and overall operations of store; Receive hands on training preparing manager in training for a management position; Supervise professional and retail operations of store and team members; Supervise work performed by all team members assigned to store/HUB store; Recruit, test, hire, evaluate, promote, discipline and discharge team members jointly with district manager and store manager; Communicate Team Weekly and monthly store managers’ meeting information to all team members; Train new team members; Handle performance evaluations and recommend pay increases; Assist in hiring process; Support store manager ensuring safety compliance and team member training; Make sales calls with/without store manager; Support store manager in store operations; Maintain delivery fleet and vehicle records; Ensure store/HUB store neat, clean and organized; Learn electronic scheduling, clocking, and payroll; Manage key components of gross profit; Monitor professional customer returns for core and warranty abuse; Review competitive price matches and price overrides; Review individual team member productivity and KPI dashboard daily; Review monthly P&L statement with store manager

Requirements

High School Diploma; Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills; Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program; Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately; Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems

Nice to have

O'Reilly store and/or distribution center experience; Completed O'Reilly management training program; Advanced computer skills; ASE Certification; Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
