Substitute Teacher

Guidepost Montessori is seeking an on-call Substitute Teacher to support mixed-age Montessori classrooms for children ages 0-6. This as-needed role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible hours while making a positive impact on young children. No formal Montessori training is required; training is provided.

Responsibilities

Step into classrooms as needed to support children and maintain consistency; Assist with daily routines and classroom activities across mixed-age groups; Help create a warm, safe, and engaging environment for children; Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth transitions and continuity of care; Model patience, professionalism, and kindness in every interaction

Requirements

Negative TB test within the last 12 months; Valid state background check; Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Warm, friendly, and dependable demeanor; Passion for working with young children

Nice to have

Early Childhood Education (ECE) units; Recent experience working with children ages 0-6
