Summer Assistant Teacher

We are now hiring for Summer Assistant Teachers for the 2026 Summertime at our lovely Guidepost school at Hillsboro! Our summer camps run from June to August. We are hiring for both full-time and part-time roles. In this Summer Camp role, you will support our Lead Teacher in guiding children to be more independent and confident in their abilities. We're looking for a Summer Teacher who will bring their best in order to support every child in reaching their highest potential!

Responsibilities

Support Lead Teacher in guiding children to be more independent and confident in their abilities; Observe children closely to understand and best meet their needs; Prepare a beautiful, orderly environment that fosters independence and concentration; Provide individual and small-group lessons to support each child's development; Form personal connections with each child and cultivate a community of collaboration and respect

Requirements

Familiar with the development of young children; Strong interpersonal skills and customer-service oriented mindset; Willing to grow and learn; Valid negative TB test (in the last 12 months) or willing to take one prior to start date; Valid CPR certification or willing to become certified prior to start date; Excited to learn more about Montessori Education
