Supervisor, Patient Transport

Leads the activities within the hospital as it pertains to the patient transportation. Coordinates with the appropriate external groups on matters pertaining to transportation operations. Serves as liaison to the departments on matters related to specific areas of responsibility and participates in group processes related to overall hospital transportation and decision making. Leads the efficient and timely movement of patients within our healthcare facility. Leads a team of transportation staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and optimizing the workflow to enhance patient experience.

Responsibilities

Supervises and leads a team of patient transporters, including scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions; Coordinates and oversees patient transport services, including scheduling transport requests, assigning tasks, and ensuring timely and efficient patient movement; Manages equipment used for patient transport, ensuring availability, maintenance, and proper functioning; Ensures compliance with hospital standards, infection control protocols, and regulatory requirements related to patient transport; Provides training to patient transport staff on safety procedures, equipment usage, patient handling techniques, and customer service standards; Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Bachelor's degree and 1 year of hospital experience required; Or equivalent combination of education and experience
