Support Worker

We’re looking for a fun, energetic and patient support worker to join the 'clubhouse' of our 9 year old girl, in Durham (DH1). She has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism and learning disabilities. She does not require lifting as she is mostly independent within her home.

Responsibilities

Helping her navigate her world safely - sometimes on foot, sometimes in her “wheels”; Being her play-partner in all things sensory exploration; Keeping a watchful eye on her epilepsy (full training will be provided) and helping with all elements of personal care, including toileting/changing; Staying as calm as Duggee himself, as she can sometimes exhibit some challenging behaviour

Requirements

Fun, energetic and patient; Resilience & Patience; Reliability; Enhanced DBS will be required

Nice to have

Previous experience with SEND
