Responsibilities

Assisting veterinarians during surgical procedures, including preparation, monitoring, and post-operative care; Maintaining surgical suites and equipment to ensure cleanliness and functionality; Providing support in anesthesia administration and monitoring; Monitoring patient vital signs and responding to changes in condition; Providing compassionate care to patients and their families, offering education and support as needed; Collaborating with other members of the veterinary team to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements

Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification; Minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary nursing role, with a focus on surgical procedures; Strong knowledge of surgical nursing techniques and protocols; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment; Compassionate attitude towards animals and their caregivers; Willingness to be on-call for emergency specialised surgical procedures
