Surgical Technologist II - Surgical Services - FT - Days - $15K Sign on Bonus - MHW

Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. Shift: Days.

Responsibilities

Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources; Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition as appropriate; Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including disposition, referral, and spiritual and/or psychosocial support needs; Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel; May precept student nurses and new hires; Evaluates learning needs of the patient and/or family and provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances

Requirements

Accredited Program: Surgical Technologist (Required); BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) or BLS Cert American Heart non-ecard (BLS AHA) or BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC); Registered Nurse License (RN LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL); One (1) year of experience required; Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision with a positive disposition; Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action

Nice to have

Certified Surgical Technologist certification (CST or TS-C) is preferred
