(HEI), we are scientists, engineers, GIS specialists, software engineers, and surveyors providing innovative and practical leading-edge science-based solutions to public, private and non-profit clients.

Consider joining our Eden Prairie team as a Survey intern! HEI’s Survey interns get involved with practical on-the-job projects, spending most of their time working with outdoor surveying and/or construction phase activities.

Responsibilities

Travel with survey crew to civil engineering project sites; Operate electronic survey instruments such as GPS and Total Station to gather field survey data; Place stakes at designated points and drive them into ground at specified elevation; Support survey staff with processing survey data and performing simple surveying calculations

Requirements

Enrollment in a two-year civil survey technician program, civil engineering program or related field, or strong interest in pursuing land surveying preferred; Completion of coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD preferred; Able to work for extended periods of time in outdoor conditions; Valid driver’s license with good driving record; Availability for occasional overnight travel
