Survey Intern

Consider joining our team as a Survey intern! A Survey Intern with HEI will be involved with practical on-the-job projects, spending the majority of time working with outdoor surveying and/or construction phase activities.

Responsibilities

Operate electronic survey instruments such as GPS and Total Station.; Mark points of measurement with elevation, station number, or other identifying mark.; Travel with survey crew to different civil engineering project sites around town.; Place stakes at designated points and drive them into ground at specified elevation.

Requirements

Enrolled in a two-year civil survey technician program, Civil Engineering program or related field.; Completed coursework in general surveying and AutoCAD are preferred.; Able to work extended periods of time in outdoor conditions.; Above average math and communication skills.; Valid driver’s license and availability for overnight travel.
