Taping Machine Operator (GE) 2nd shift

TE Wire and Cable, located in Saddle Brook NJ, is looking for a Taping Machine Operator to join our growing team! TE Wire & Cable is highly regarded as the industry leader and has earned a well-founded reputation for providing high-quality thermocouple wire & cable products with short lead times and competitive prices.

Responsibilities

Sets up reels of wire into the payoff stands and empties reel into the takeup; Laces wire through the machine-oven-capstan spark tester and onto the takeup reel; Loads tapes onto the taping heads and drains wire when applicable per job requirement; Sets oven controllers if applicable to the required temperatures per specification; Starts machine and checks tape lay; Sets spark tester at specification voltage; Runs to required footage; Maintains quality standards and runs machines at specification speeds; Makes all necessary repairs to any faults or damaged material per specifications

Requirements

Adhere to safety standards; Basic math skills of addition and subtraction; No attendance issues; Reliable transportation to work; Ability to pass post-offer company paid physical/drug screen and background check; Some manufacturing/production experience needed; 1-2 years of experience; High school diploma or GED equivalent
