Teamster Parking Svcs Representative

Full-time position in the Transportation and Logistics department, evening shift, at Strong Memorial Hospital, 601 Elmwood Ave, Rochester, New York, 14642. Scheduled 40 weekly hours.

Responsibilities

Act as a University representative in disseminating information concerning parking and traffic to the University's community and visitors; Provide services and conduct transactions that ensure effective and efficient implementation of University policies related to parking, traffic and circulation; Provide information concerning parking and traffic to the University and the public; Act as University host to visitors; Move vehicles in valet parking program; Jump start vehicles; Operate information and parking booth facilities; Issue warning notices and tickets to vehicles in violation of regulations; Conduct lot usage surveys and investigate parking complaints; Observe and report lot, traffic and roadway maintenance needs; Perform dispatch duties; Provide traffic control assistance during special events and emergencies; Handle payments for daily pay lots, permits, passes and violations; Perform register closing procedures; Prepare, distribute and reconcile funds; Process and issue permits, verify application information, process violations, register motor vehicles and bicycles using mainframe workstation; Handle confidential information; Provide emergency rides and taxi/courier on request; Filing, stocking supplies, answering telephones

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent; excellent interpersonal and communication (written and oral skills); valid New York State Driver's License; suitable past driving record

Nice to have

knowledge of data entry; ability to work with mainframe and computer applications and programs
