Technologist Assistant Advanced

As an Advanced Technologist Assistant, you will be onsite and able to perform a wide variety of routine duties including clerical, technical and patient related functions. The Advanced Technologist Assistant is responsible for assisting radiology technologists in providing a broad range of health care services such as: patient check-in, exam review, preparation for the visit, patient education, assistance with exams and procedures, and patient transporting.

Responsibilities

Assisting radiology technologists in providing health care services; Patient check-in; Exam review; Preparation for the visit; Patient education; Assistance with exams and procedures; Patient transporting; Managing patient registration; Greeting visitors and patients; Check-out process; Insurance verification; Informing patients of costs; Answering telephones and relaying messages; Setting up the imaging room with proper isolation precautions; Explaining studies to patients; Positioning patients and ensuring comfort and modesty; Preparing patients for exams; Interacting compassionately with patients; May be required to start IVs

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; Phlebotomy Certification OR Medical Assisting Certificate
