Tool & Die Apprentice

As a Tool & Die Apprentice located at our Brookfield, WI Tool & Die Plant, you will join a dynamic team with a winning culture. This position offers a unique opportunity to work independently across various aspects of Tool & Die Manufacturing which support multiple foundry operations including high pressure diecast, lost foam, and investment casting plants.

Responsibilities

Work safely and efficiently in a tool & die shop environment especially when it comes to industrial safety best practices; Operate CNC and manual lathes, mills, grinders, saws, drill presses, and other tool shop equipment; Generate 3D CAD models and blueprints for various projects; Perform disassembly, final assembly, and outbound tooling inspections; Inspect and precision measure in-process tooling and components to meet print specifications; Accurately plan and track time for specific work orders

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent; A growth mindset, always looking for ways to improve; Desire to be 'hands on' and learn the Tool & Die trade; Must be flexible to work both 1st and 2nd shifts; Must be a team player willing to train with all Leads and Tool and Die Makers on the shop floor

Nice to have

Basic mechanical and mathematical aptitude; Ability to disassemble tooling
