Ultrasound Technologist - Longstreet Clinic - OBGYN *4 days per week*

Performs ultrasound procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply ultrasound for sonographic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas of procedures required.

Responsibilities

Operate all sonographic equipment according to equipment specifications; Produce quality sonograms consistently within department standards; Follow good radiation safety practices when applicable according to state and federal guidelines; Maintain patient records according to department standards; Exhibit team participation; Properly assess patient according to exam ordered with appropriate documentation; Provide patient education pertinent to exam being performed and document in patient record; Accurately and completely utilize RIS according to department standards, and CPAC procedures when indicated; Perform other duties as assigned, including non-technical duties such as stock rooms, training of new staff, and special projects

Requirements

ARDMS registered in Physics; Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire; High school diploma or GED; Graduate of accredited ARDMS Program; Ability to perform quality sonographic procedures; Basic computer skills; Ability to work independently and effectively with others
