Underwriter (Wholesale Business)

Responsible for underwriting commercial risks through broker channel

Responsibilities

Assess and underwrite risks, including but not limited to SME package, commercial combined, property owner and liability risks; Review and analyse risk submissions, working with brokers to gather all necessary information for risk assessment; Provide accurate pricing recommendations and terms following the Company’s underwriting guidelines and business strategy; Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements, as well as the Underwriting Framework in the business process

Requirements

Cert CII or equivalent professional qualification; Minimum 3 years of underwriting experience of SME package, commercial combined or property owner risks; Knowledge of the UK general insurance market and relevant regulatory practices and legislations; Proficiency in MS Office package, including Word, Excel and PPT and use of Teams

Nice to have

Dip CII; progressing towards ACII qualification
