Visual Lead - Mall at Short Hills

The Visual Lead is responsible for achieving store sales & maximizing profitability through Visual Merchandising in partnership with the Management Team. The Visual Lead will work closely with Operations & Visual Managers in initiating, delegating work, and providing feedback to the team to achieve optimal results supporting total store operations. Duties require constant movement in and around the store, including the sales floor and back of house. When not actively assisting guests, this position takes initiative to perform other tasks, as needed, to keep store clean, safe, inviting and operating efficiently.

Responsibilities

Achieve store sales and maximize profitability through Visual Merchandising in partnership with the Management Team; Initiate and delegate work and provide feedback to the team in partnership with Operations and Visual Managers; Manage execution of key operational functions including shipment, receiving and processing, reverse transfers, sales floor recovery, intra-day sales floor replenishment, floor set updates, and supply management; Maintain strategic product presentation and merchandising through product recovery, restock, destock, and visual merchandising changes in accordance with directives and in partnership with the Visual Manager; Plan visual floor changes with the management team through payroll management and adapting the zone and visual support to business needs; Execute and maintain visual direction from planning through execution to meet company expectations, budgets and timelines; Use reporting tools in partnership with management to identify business opportunities with product placement, outfitting and stock levels; Partner with Operations & Visual Managers to manage reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology and facilities; Leverage metrics to support business-driving strategies; Move dynamically on the retail floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team and guests; Lead by example and inspire staff in daily operations, guest experience and visual standards; Provide coaching, guidance and direction to Associates; responsible for recruitment and development of talent; Use company performance tools to evaluate associates and provide constant feedback to drive individual growth; Collaborate with Operations Lead to ensure cross-functional training and with Sales & Service Lead to ensure the business is well-executed; Execute company-level operations-focused directives, projects and initiatives in partnership with the leadership team to achieve goals and KPIs; Open and close the store in accordance with visual standards

Requirements

2+ years prior work experience in a client-centric, sales environment; Proven leadership capabilities demonstrating excellent decision making; Values feedback, receptive to receiving feedback and eager to provide; Self-motivated with a desire to achieve results and excel individually, and as a team; Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; Aligns with and embodies ALO's Guiding Principles; Requires constant movement in and around all areas of store; Ability to lift, push, carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds; Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl and/or twist, and safely climb up/down a ladder; Ability to stand and move for an entire shift; Available for opening, closing and weekend shifts, which may be subject to change; Able to work from the week of and including "Black Friday" until the end of the holiday season, first week of January
