WordPress Theme Developer

Build the themes thousands of sites run on. Full-time role based in our Lucknow office. You build and maintain our theme line: Reign, BuddyX, and the integration add-ons that ship with them. PHP, WordPress core, the block editor, theme.json, WooCommerce, and BuddyPress, with your code reviewed by senior engineers before it ships. We are looking for a theme developer who can own production WordPress themes end to end: not throwaway client builds, but products that thousands of sites depend on and update in place.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain the theme line (Reign, BuddyX, child themes, and add-ons); Integrate WooCommerce and BuddyPress; Keep up with WordPress core releases and block editor changes; Write production-quality, reviewed code passing WPCS and PHPStan

Requirements

0-5 years experience; Solid PHP and WordPress core theme development: template hierarchy, hooks, enqueueing, theme.json, and the block editor; Experience with block patterns, block-based templates, and full-site editing; Experience with WooCommerce or BuddyPress; Ability to write clean, reviewable code and explain it in pull requests

Nice to have

Plugin development; Build tooling with npm, @wordpress/scripts, Grunt or webpack; Performance and accessibility considerations (Core Web Vitals and WCAG)
