CRE Law Enforcement II Teacher - SY 26/27

The remote CTE Law Enforcement Teacher is state certified teacher and/or alternatively certified CRE/CTE Teacher responsible for delivering specific course content in an online environment. The CRE/CTE Teacher must also provide instruction, support, and guidance, manage the learning process, and focus on students' individual needs. Teachers monitor student progress through K12's learning management system, and work actively with students and parents to advance each student's learning and to develop and monitor a plan for post-secondary success via online tools like Career Builder, Career Cruising, etc. This is a full-time REMOTE position.

Responsibilities

Delivering specific course content in an online environment; Providing instruction, support, and guidance; Managing the learning process; Focusing on students' individual needs; Monitoring student progress through K12's learning management system; Working actively with students and parents to advance each student's learning; Developing and monitoring a plan for post-secondary success via online tools like Career Builder, Career Cruising, etc.; Establishing and maintaining positive rapport with families; Collaborating regularly with the school and national professional learning community; Administering and proctoring certification assessments where applicable; Serving as an Advisor for Career & Technical Student Organization; Supporting CTE Program Coordinator with creating business and industry partnerships; Supporting a project-based learning model

Requirements

Trade and Industrial Education Certification, Trade and Industrial Workforce Training, OR Vocational Trades and Industry; Texas residency; may consider residents of surrounding states (NM, OK, AR or LA); Bachelor's degree; Active state teaching license; Ability to clear required background check; Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data, and use it to drive instructional decisions; Receptive to receiving coaching regularly with administrators and teacher trainers; Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes; Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint; Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms; Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs and curriculum; Ability to travel up to 20% of the time for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and/or as required by the school.
