Engage Life Program Instructor

Leads assigned programs that are of interest and meaning to our residents in order to enhance their lives and exceed their active aging lifestyle expectations.

Responsibilities

Leads assigned programs that are of interest and meaning to residents; offers adequate and diversified recreational activities with sufficient supervision; develops programs for residents including those confined to their rooms; engages and motivates residents to participate; informs residents of upcoming activities and maintains schedule on bulletin board; greets new residents and introduces them to others with similar interests; assists in planning parties and activities and decorating community for seasons/holidays and monthly birthday parties; assists in Bright Beginnings including housewarmings; supports and participates in community census building initiatives; maintains records of activities and resident participation as required by state law; assists Engage Life Director in enlisting volunteers; may drive company vehicle to social destinations if required; may perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three (3) to six (6) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience; able to write simple correspondence; able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
