KS2 Specialist Teaching Assistant

A friendly and inclusive primary school in Eastbourne is seeking an experienced Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join their regular bank team. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced teachers, supporting pupils across Years 3 to 6 with classroom learning, targeted interventions and day-to-day pastoral support.

Responsibilities

Support learning across Years 3–6; Deliver small-group interventions in English and Maths; Assist pupils who require additional classroom support; Encourage positive behaviour and engagement; Prepare classroom resources and learning materials; Work closely with teachers to help every child achieve their potential

Requirements

Experience working within a primary school; Confidence supporting KS2 learners; Excellent communication and teamwork skills; Ability to adapt to different classrooms and learning needs; Energy, positivity and professionalism; Previous UK school experience; Right to work in the UK; Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one); Two recent professional references; Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures
