Responsibilities

Lead and conduct impactful, high-quality research projects aligned with the university’s strategic research priorities.; Publish research findings in high-impact journals and present at reputable international conferences.; Develop innovative research proposals to attract competitive research grants and external funding.; Mentor and supervise postgraduate students and junior researchers.; Foster a culture of research excellence and integrity across the university.; Provide guidance on research design, methodology, and academic writing.; Establish strategic research partnerships with local and international universities, industry, and healthcare institutions.; Participate actively in professional networks and research associations.; Promote interdisciplinary research collaborations across faculties.; Translate research findings into practical applications or innovations benefiting the healthcare industry and community.; Contribute to patent development, commercialization, and consultancy projects where applicable.; Support the development and implementation of the university’s research strategy and policies.; Serve on committees related to research, innovation, and academic quality enhancement.; Represent the university in external research and academic forums.

Requirements

PhD in Health Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, Biomedical Science, or a related discipline.; Postdoctoral or equivalent advanced research experience from a recognized institution.; Additional certification or training in research management, leadership, or innovation (advantageous).; Extensive experience in conducting and leading high-impact research projects at national or international levels.; Proven record of publications in high-impact, indexed journals (Scopus/WoS).; Demonstrated success in obtaining competitive research grants or external funding.; Experience in mentoring postgraduate students and early-career researchers.; Strong involvement in professional and academic networks or associations.; Strong leadership and research management skills.; Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.; Effective mentoring, supervision, and coaching skills.; High level of academic writing and presentation proficiency.; Strategic thinking and the ability to drive institutional research goals.; Proficiency in research design, data analysis, and interpretation.; Familiarity with statistical and data management software (e.g., SPSS, R, NVivo, or equivalent).; Knowledge of research ethics, grant application systems, and publication processes.; Ability to build and sustain collaborative research partnerships (local and international).; Capability to translate research outcomes into innovation or commercialization.; Expertise in proposal development and strategic research planning.
