Secondary Teaching Assistant

A large, welcoming high school in Ealing are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their school from September 26 – December 26 to work with pupils across their secondary school. In this role you will be supporting a range of pupils with learning needs across the school. Pupils will need support to focus in lessons and complete tasks as well as managing their emotions and behaviour. You will work with various pupils across the school although this will primarily be in KS3 (11 to 14 year olds) although you may support some older students in KS4. You will work closely with teacher and the schools SEN Co-ordinator and will be provided with training. This role is offered on a full-time contract basis until Dec 26. Responsibilities

Supporting pupils with learning needs across the school; Helping pupils focus in lessons and complete tasks; Supporting pupils to manage emotions and behaviour; Working with pupils primarily in KS3 and some in KS4; Working closely with teachers and the school's SEN Co-ordinator

Requirements

previous experience supporting teenagers in youth settings, community groups or within their own personal life; proactive; committed; professional; can-do attitude
