SEND Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking caring, reliable, and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as SEND Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) in schools across Croydon, London. This is a general recruitment advert for candidates who are passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to achieve their full potential. SEND Learning Support Assistants play a vital role in helping students access learning and participate fully in school life.

Responsibilities

Providing one-to-one or small group support; Assisting students with additional learning, communication, social, emotional, or physical needs; Implementing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs); Supporting positive behaviour; Working closely with teachers and other professionals to create an inclusive learning environment; Helping students access learning and participate fully in school life

Nice to have

Experience as SEND Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, Care Worker, or transferable experience supporting children or vulnerable people; interest in working within education
