Responsibilities

Assist in the management, maintenance, and use of film and new media equipment; This position serves the film program, the new media program, and the graphic design program. You will respond to the needs of faculty and students in all programs and follow a consistent protocol for equipment use; Checking out and checking in of film, new media, and design equipment; Ensuring proper use and care of the equipment during class and out of class (as requested); Monitoring the editing suites; Providing technical assistance to those using the equipment when possible; Working on special projects.

Requirements

Enrolled as a student at Augsburg University and be work-study eligible; Have a working knowledge of film cameras, video cameras, DSLR cameras, audio equipment, lighting gear, computers, and the Premiere Pro software package; Highly responsible, detail driven, and self-motivated; Excellent troubleshooting skills; Ability to follow established protocol; Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; Ability to work independently; Some evenings and weekend hours are expected
