Forest School Lead

A Forest School Leader plans, delivers, and manages outdoor learning sessions, fostering children’s development while ensuring safety and promoting the Forest School ethos.

Responsibilities

Plan, prepare and deliver a range of Forest School sessions with children across the school; Further develop and promote the Forest School; Plan and deliver the Forest School Curriculum through weekly sessions to year groups of children as specified at agreed times in the year; Deliver weekly Forest School Nurture group provision to support children's specific social, communication, behaviour or wellbeing needs; Promote the values and ethos of the school; Provide appropriate advice and guidance to volunteers or support staff assisting with sessions

Requirements

Forest School Lead qualification; Early Years qualification at Level 2/3; Experience working with all age groups within Early Years; Knowledge of the EYFS framework; A true love for child development and care; Able and willing to work in a team; Ability to communicate effectively with management, peers and parents; High levels of care and empathy that every opportunity can be a learning opportunity
