Lunchtime supervisor at Edith Moorhouse Primary School

Permanent, term-time-only lunchtime supervisor role at Edith Moorhouse Primary School, Carterton, part of the River Learning Trust. Hours are 5 per week (12:00pm to 1:00pm, Monday to Friday). The role focuses on ensuring the midday break is a positive, structured, and social experience, with the supervisor acting as a consistent, trusted adult for pupils across the dining hall and playground. Responsibilities

Support a positive, structured, and social midday break; Supervise pupils across the dining hall and playground, ensuring their safety and welfare; Help children with trays and maintain a clean dining environment; Supervise outdoor play safely, including monitoring activities on the trim trail; Report incidents clearly and follow school procedures

Requirements

A calm, patient, and positive approach to supporting children with their social skills and play; The ability to work effectively within a committed team to manage dining hall routines, including helping children with trays and maintaining a clean environment; A proactive attitude toward supervising outdoor play safely, including monitoring activities on the trim trail; Excellent communication skills to report incidents clearly and follow school procedures; A strong commitment to safeguarding principles and the welfare of young people
