Police Station Clerk

The town of Avon seeks qualified candidates for the full-time AFSCME union position of Station Clerk for the Police Department. The primary function of this position is to provide information and assistance to the public and coordinate responses from appropriate police, fire or other municipal agencies. Using radio equipment, telephone or other means of communication, coordinates requests from first responder personnel for additional support services.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED; CJIS certification (within first 3 months); radio communications training; public safety software training; rotating or fixed shifts on nights, holidays, and weekends; primarily midnight to 8 a.m. shift; successful completion of CORI; physical examination including drug test
