Software Engineer Intern - Backend (H1 2027)

We are currently accepting credit-bearing internship applications for H1 2027 (Jan - Jul 2027).

Responsibilities

Contribute to the ideation, technical design, implementation, and testing of product features; Produce high quality software following good architecture and design principles that are scalable; Design & deliver thoughtfully crafted REST APIs to drive the interactions between client applications and backend services; Collaborate with product, data and design to define the future of the ShopBack experience

Requirements

Computer Science or related major; Constantly curious, always looking to learn new technologies; Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and decision-making skills; Excellent communication ability and desire to thrive in a high-growth startup environment; Demonstrated use of AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) to develop new or improve workflows, enhance productivity, and drive efficiency at scale; Applicants from all varsities are welcome to apply, including University, Polytechnic, and ITE; Minimum commitment period of 6 months, full-time
