Water Equipment Operator DPW-Water Division

General Information: WATER EQUIPMENT OPERATOR DPW – WATER DIVISION AFSCME LOCAL 1703 – GRADE 5A FULL-TIME (40 HOURS PER WEEK) FULL PAY RANGE: $29.37 TO $36.47 PER HOUR ANTICIPATED HIRING RANGE: $29.37 TO $33.63 PER HOUR Position Overview: Performs sub-surface explorations of water mains and services for condition and material; Makes repairs and performs maintenance of facilities – pumps, piping, machinery and structures; Collects complete and accurate water system records; Inspects, installs and repairs water meters and hydrants; Works under the direction of the Chief Operator; Installs and repairs water mains and services; Conducts water sampling and other duties as required.

Requirements

Possession of a MA Class B CDL Vehicle License; Possession of a MA Class 2A Hydraulics License
