The Hunter Douglas Global Management Trainee Program (GMT) is hand-selected and sponsored by the Executive Leadership Team. This 10-month comprehensive Leadership Development program provides you with the tools and experiences to develop you into a future leader of our organization while providing a holistic view of the business. Throughout this program, you will immediately immerse yourself into the company, the culture, and the industry. You will join a class of other Trainees and gain a community of ambitious peers. You will learn from Hunter Douglas leaders and contribute directly to our purpose and our DREAM. You will gain insights from day one and do real work on different projects while delivering actual results. Before the program commences, Trainees are paired with a Mentor to help acclimate and integrate you to our organization. Throughout the program, you can expect opportunities to connect and collaborate with our Executive Leadership Team, Global Leaders, Business Leaders, previous Trainees and current Trainees from other Zones.

Responsibilities

Gain insights from day one and do real work on different projects while delivering actual results; Complete three weeks of onboarding at designated hub location; Attend Global Induction at HQ in New York; Participate in five months of Field Training rotating through Sales, Supply, Logistics, Product, and Customer Service; Complete one week of Leadership and Methodology training; Deliver a four-month individual project with tangible and measurable results; Present capstone project to Leadership; Receive final placement into a full-time role upon program completion.

Requirements

Graduated (or graduating) between 2024 and 2026, with all coursework completed by December 2025; Demonstrated leadership capabilities through various extracurricular activities including job experiences, internships, student clubs and organizations, and volunteer work; Must be fully mobile and willing to be on-site at one of our major locations throughout the program; Ready to tackle new challenges in diverse environments, including front line roles in the field, manufacturing plants, regional offices; Hard-working and enjoys a high level of responsibility; Hungry for success, yet humble to continuously learn; Thinks like an owner and takes accountability for actions; Problem-solver who leads with agility and acts with a sense of urgency; Intellectually curious and willing to challenge the status quo; Natural leader who enjoys collaborating with teams to complete ambitious but achievable big goals; Strong interest in a multi-functional career with readiness to work hard to become a future leader in our global company; Expected to live our values, our culture, and be ambassadors of the program and future leaders of the organization.
