Accountant I

Supports the accounting functions of the Eastman Institute for Oral Health (EIOH) by applying fundamental accounting principles and practices to day-to-day tasks. Works under the guidance of the EIOH finance team and collaborates with clinical, education, and research departments to help review, reconcile, and maintain accurate accounts throughout the institute.

Responsibilities

Supports the accounting functions of the Eastman Institute for Oral Health (EIOH) by applying fundamental accounting principles and practices to day-to-day tasks; works under the guidance of the EIOH finance team and collaborates with clinical, education, and research departments to help review, reconcile, and maintain accurate accounts throughout the institute; completes analyses of ledger accounts to confirm completeness and accuracy of data; prepares quarterly financial statements and related footnote disclosures in accordance with US GAAP; prepares a variety of routine financial statements or accounting reports

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 1 year of professional accounting experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience; excellent analytical, organizational, communication skills and attention to detail required; strong Microsoft Office skills required; ability to work within tight deadlines required
