Accounting Director

The Controller will oversee all accounting functions, financial reporting, cost accounting, and internal controls for our manufacturing operations. This role partners closely with operations and executive leadership to drive profitability, improve processes, and ensure financial accuracy.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all accounting operations, including general ledger, AR/AP, payroll, and fixed assets; Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes; Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP; Manage cost accounting functions, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation; Partner with operations to analyze production costs, margins, and efficiency metrics; Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models; Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and external regulations; Coordinate audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors; Drive process improvements and ERP system optimization; Supervise and mentor accounting staff

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; 7+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in a manufacturing environment; Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management; Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
