Actuarial Manager

Develop, influence and manage work in one of the following areas; Actuarial Reporting, Pricing, Actuarial Risk & Capital, Claims, Actuarial Systems and Risk

Responsibilities

To liaise with and act as a point of contact for the broader business and to provide explanation on area of expertise for internal customers around the company; To provide line management and training to others as required; Expected to develop and manage work in one of the following areas depending on business needs; Actuarial Risk & Capital, Pricing, Actuarial Reporting, Actuarial Systems, Claims, Risk; To have a high level of knowledge and be able to play a lead role in at least one of the areas above and actively develop knowledge in other areas as required.

Requirements

Newly qualified Actuary; Degree level education at grade 2:1 or above, preferably in a numerical subject; Expert understanding of Excel software; Able to manage a number of actuarial trainees, and provide on the job and career coaching

Nice to have

Previous experience in the Life Insurance industry; Knowledge of actuarial life insurance systems and software
