Acute CT Technologist

This position performs prescribed procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols. This position ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population.

Responsibilities

Performs procedures by following and verifying referring providers' orders; Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment; Produces high quality images and prepares/presents them for timely interpretation; Prepares and maintains accurate documentation; Demonstrates competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures if applicable; Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements and troubleshoots equipment; Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors; Accountable for ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to the radiology practice, including confidentiality; Assures efficient operation of department workflow and maintains adequate inventory of supplies and materials; Independently performs prescribed procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols

Requirements

Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program; National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT(R) or ARRT(NM)) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB (CNMT)); State Licensure for AZ, WY, NV including Radiography or Nuclear Medicine and CT license prior to hire (not required in Colorado); Advanced Certification in Computed Tomography within 18 months of hire from ARRT(CT) or NMTCB (CT); Certification for BLS; Clinical knowledge typically achieved with two years of experience; Effective communication skills, human relations skills, data analysis and problem-solving skills; Call and holiday rotation required
