Acute Ultrasound Technologist II

This position performs procedures by following and verifying referring providers' orders. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures for 2 Ultrasound certifications.

Responsibilities

Independently perform advanced diagnostic exams and ultrasound-guided procedures across all patient ages; Produce high-quality images and support radiologist interpretation; Educate patients and families regarding procedures; Serve as subject matter expert within registries; Perform equipment quality control measurements and troubleshooting; Document findings in a professional and clear manner; Provide technical guidance to less experienced technologists; Serve as preceptor to train new staff; Maintain ethical, legal, professional, and certification responsibilities; Facilitate efficient workflows and monitor supplies inventory

Requirements

National certification in two areas of specialty from ARDMS, CCI, or ARRT; BLS certification required; Clinical knowledge typically achieved with 3-5 years of experience; Effective communication skills; Human relations skills; Ability to analyze data and solve problems
