AM SHIFT! Hospital Service Technician - AdventHealth (28-30 hours per week, to be increased)

Daniels Health is looking for a Hospital Service Technician to join our team and help support hospitals with critical medical waste services. This is not a desk job—you’ll be on your feet, moving, lifting, and making a real impact every day. This role will service medical waste containers at TWO local AdventHealth locations: AdventHealth Lake Wales and AdventHealth Heart of Florida. This is a part-time role increasing to FULL-TIME in December 2026.

Responsibilities

Working directly with hospital staff to ensure safe and timely medical waste container exchanges and proper segregation; Inspecting and servicing Daniels Health containers in clinical areas—including entering procedural spaces and working around sensitive equipment and patients; Lifting containers (up to 50 lbs) and pushing/pulling carts (up to 300 lbs) throughout the day; Maintaining inventory of containers and ensuring all areas are stocked and organized; Using a company-provided smartphone to manage tasks, report issues, and communicate with your team; Keeping staging areas clean and orderly before and after service; Representing Daniels Health with professionalism, positivity, and a strong work ethic

Requirements

Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting; Ability to lift containers up to 50 lbs and push/pull carts up to 300 lbs throughout the day; Personal transportation to both assigned work sites; Team player who can work independently without direct supervision; Strong attention to detail—especially when it comes to paperwork and procedures; Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between assigned locations; Can-do attitude and previous experience in a labor-intensive or logistics role
